Has
this ever happened to you? Have you ever found yourself getting stuck in negative thought patterns.
How about expecting the worst possible outcome in every situation?
This is a common mind-set that millions of people
share. It proves difficult to change until you finally decide you’ve had enough. Unfortunately, negative thoughts
abound everywhere and have a sneaky way of
multiplying on their own. It's time for
some positive thinking techniques to help you get
unstuck and design the life you deserve.

It's
time for some good news. You can turn a negative outlook into a positive one
-- it just takes a bit of patience and persistence until the positive thoughts begin to take over.
Here's why there's opportunity inside chaos.
In the traditional Chinese language, the symbol for
both CHAOS and OPPORTUNITY are the same! I was
amazed. Go ahead, visit an online translator
and try it yourself. With this mindset, let's
look at 3 simple steps you can take on a daily basis
to begin forming positive
thinking techniques and expectations
for your life.
Step
1: Develop self-awareness to be conscious of negative expectations.
A
common problem with negative thoughts is that they
seem to form below your conscious level of
awareness. You become so used to them hanging
around your everyday thoughts that you don't even notice anymore. To
combat this negativity, you’ll have to develop a stronger level of self-awareness.
An excellent first step is by doing self-checks
throughout the day. Pay attention at first to how you
feel and if you notice yourself feeling positive and productive,
this is most likely because you’ve been thinking positive thoughts.
But, if you're pessimistic, stressed or irritable,
chances are you’re probably focusing more on negative thoughts.
Step
2. Challenge and change the negative thoughts.
Whether
you feel it's true or not, it's not that difficult
to change negative thoughts. All that's
required is your perspective. For example, if you're feeling doubtful about your ability to finish your work
within a set deadline, you may engage in a bit of self-talk
that sounds like this: “OK, I’m feeling a bit
anxious right now. But things are really fine. I’m
confident, I’m smart and I’m capable of finishing my
projects on time. I’ll do my best and
things will work out just fine.” Although nothing
may have changed in your outer circumstances, these
types of positive thinking techniques can
support you with a more positive outlook.

Step
3. Develop Positive Thinking Techniques.
At the same time, while you’re changing negative thoughts to
positive thoughts, consistently work daily on developing a general positive expectation habit. Each
morning when you
start your day, say confidently, “Today is going to be a
FABULOUS day! Everything will go just the way it's
supposed to and I will have fun along the way and
find new opportunities and have fun!”
As you encounter
chaos or problems, see them as opportunities to learn, grow and strengthen yourself.
Remember the Chinese symbol for both words.
Your perspective is 99% of what you need to
win the game of
life. If you simply shift the way you look at the experiences
in your life, you can easily conquer your negative thought
habits when you develop positive thinking
techniques. Before you know it, you’ll be enjoying better and more frequent opportunities and attracting
opportunities to live your life on purpose.
